Grants for Small Businesses

The Reopening Boston Fund – This fund will help small businesses put in place the necessary public health guidance requirements needed to reopen in the coming months.  This fund is intended to support businesses with a majority of employees working in close proximity to their clients and each other. Please note: They will not consider professional service businesses, including those that are able to work from home or any online businesses, for the grants. The Childcare Entrepreneur Fund - This fund offers grants of $3,500 and business support to childcare providers so that COVID-19  health and safety standards can be maintained. Applications open Tuesday, July 7, 2020. To learn more and apply for a grant, click ChildcareEntrepreneurFund.

The Arts and Culture COVID-19 Fund - This fund of $1 million was created to help small and mid-sized arts and culture nonprofits that have been impacted by the COVID-19. Applications open Tuesday, July 7, 2020. To learn more and apply for a grant, click ArtsAndCultureFund.

The Small Business Relief Fund – This fund was established by the City of Boston, the federal government and private industries to help businesses most impacted by COVID-19.  They will be accepting application on Monday, April 6, 2020.   To learn more and apply for grant, click SmallBusinessReliefFund.

The Boston Artist Relief Fund – This fund will award grants of $500 and $1,000 to individual artists who live in Boston whose creative practices and incomes are being adversely impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19). To learn more and apply, click ArtistFund.

The Red Backpack Relief Fund -Their goal is to provide the opportunity for women-owned small businesses and nonprofits to continue to operate and thrive. Red Backpack Fund provides $5,000 grants for female entrepreneurs in the U.S. to help alleviate the impact of the crisis. The Madison Park MWBE Contractor Relief Fund – This fund provides grants up to $2,500 for qualified contractors who have been sidelined due to the COVID-19. This fund is geared for minority and women-owned contractors in Greater Boston. To learn more, click HERE

The Greg Hill Foundation has teamed up with Samuel Adams* to support those from the Massachusetts restaurant industry who have been impacted by the Covid-19 closures.  They will be raising awareness and funds to provide grants to full-time restaurant workers in Massachusetts who are dependent on wages plus tips to cover basic living expenses and provide for their families. Facebook Small Business Grant Program – Facebook is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries where they operate. The James Beard Foundation – This fund recognizes the dire situation the food and beverage community is in due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are launching a fund that will be gathering support from corporate, foundation, and individual donors to provide micro-grants to independent food and beverage businesses in need. Opportunity Fund – This fund specializes in money lending to small businesses owned by women, immigrants and people of color, is collaborating with investors and nonprofits to put together a coronavirus relief fund that will provide grants and low-interest rate loans. Learn more, click below.
