Tasks: Promotions Committee members
help promote Hyde Park through community events and image
building, advertising, & publicity.
If you like any of the following, you would
enjoy being on this committee:
- Needed event planners, writers, advertising knowledge
- Designing ads, posters or fliers,
- Working with local newspapers, writing news articles
for web site,
- Volunteering at community special events,
- Creating and planning community events to promote Hyde
Park.
Goals for 2006:
- Build on the success of established special events such
as Clean-Up Days, Business Member Reception, Volunteer Open
House and Shopping on Main Streets.
- Create a set schedule of all current community events
for distribution and publicity, get the word out about Hyde
Park,
- Recruit volunteers for Main Streets with new ideas and
skills,
- Develop & foster a sense of place for Hyde Park,
our “Small Town In The City.”
