Hyde Park Volunteer & Business of the Year — 2011 Boston Main Streets Awards

Joe Lyons & Lisa Consalvo, Business & Volunteer of the Year!

The Boston Main Streets Volunteer and Business Awards Night took place on June 9, 2011 and was hosted by the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Mayor Thomas M. Menino awarded the certificates to recipients from all twenty main streets districts. He celebrated the work done throughout the city:

Volunteer of the Year: Lisa Consalvo

Lisa Consalvo, Volunteer of the Year with Mayor Menino and Evelyn Freidman

Lisa Consalvo: Chief of Staff to State Representative Angelo Scaccia; Lisa is a lifelong resident of Hyde Park. With much experience in merchandizing, she served on the HPMS Design Committee for a couple of years prior to joining the Board of Directors in 2003. Lisa has been a strong voice advocating for urban renewal and has taken on executive leadership roles in the last few years serving as, Vice President, Acting President and currently as Treasurer dedicating many volunteer hours to her tasks.

Business of the Year: Spin350 Creative, Inc.

Spin350 Creative Inc.: Joe Lyons, owner of Spin350 Creative is a resident of Hyde Park and both he and his wife Jaime have been active on our promotions committee. Spin350 located in one of Hyde Park’s renovated Westinghouse Artist Studios operates as a “design cluster” offering graphic design as well as a host of marketing services. HPMS is grateful that Joe has used his artistic talents to create marketing materials for the HPMS Keepsake Ornament program and various other events and fundraisers over the last few years.
