We are a local non-profit organization composed of residents and business owners who are interested in promoting a vital and thriving business district in our traditional downtown area. Our Motto is “A Small Town In The City” that perfectly captures the spirit of Hyde Park, a welcoming place where you can chat with your neighbor at the hardware store, meet friends for coffee and visit the American Institute of Architects award winning Branch of the Boston Public Library. The individual connection with community that is the best of small town life combined with being part of a world class city, with all the resources of the City of Boston.
In 2008
HPMS will be publicizing a list of all the businesses in Hyde Park by date of establishment.
We will aslo be archiving a Time Capsule and are asking both the businesses and residents to send us 2 Business Cards by
April 22, the day of Incorporation as a Town.

Shop locally, share locally is the message we are sending through the Boston Community Change Card (BCC Card). A little like our original Card Program here in Hyde Park, this new Initiative brings some big names and major partners to the table citywide for a sophisticated database driven awards card that is easy for both customers and merchants.
We have an agreement with Master Card to allow for the BCC Card to be swiped at any of their terminals, instantly relaying the correct rebate information for the Program for each participating business.The BCC Card is not a payment method, you can use cash, credit or checks to make payments, rather it is a loyalty rewards card for shopping locally, not just at big box retailers.
Best of all, in addition to receiving a cash rebate in the mail monthly, the customer also will be generating funds (donated by the participating local merchants) for a local charity including Main Streets and/or school of their choice.
